Goldsborough's choir have been very busy today: three separate concerts in three locations to three audiences.
Our first was Thistle Hill Care Centre where we entertained residents on two different floors with a lively selection of tunes. We were treated to a few dances from the residents as well as some tasty mince pies when we had finished.
After lunch, a slightly different set of choir members went to St John's House Care Home in Kirk Hammerton. Pupils went to speak to some of the residents and wish them a 'Merry Christmas'. As a thankyou, St John's staff gave us a large box of chocolates!
Finally, the majority of the choir joined together for one last 'gig' in the Market Place in Knaresborough. The light was drawing in on this shortest day of the year but even the drizzle couldn't dampen the festive spirit.
Special mentions to all those who volunteered for solos and duets on We Three Kings and Away in a Manger - the variation really made the difference to the sound.
Merry Christmas from all the choir!
