Class 3 trip to Victoria School and Keighley Central Mosque

Today we visited the Central Mosque in Keighley. Our aim was to explore the muslim faith and to spend time getting to know our friends at our link school, Victoria Primary.

When we arrived, we met our friends at the Mosque and were shown around the building. We learnt about the main features of the Mosque and had the option to ask questions at the end. We learnt that muslims take off their shoes and cover their heads when praying, the Qu'ran is read right to left and that everyone faces Mecca when in prayer. When we had finished, we walked to Victoria Primary School for our lunch. Before leaving, we had some time to work together on some team activities. We look forward to welcoming our friends to Goldsborough in June.
